
Fiona de Young is a violin teacher in the Sierra Vista area and works with children of all ages! She holds a degree in Violin Performance from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, graduating with highest honors in 2006. During college, she served as concertmaster of the university symphony orchestra and university opera. She has studied violin with Lewis Rosove, Myron Kartman, Robert Hanford, and Pamela Simmons. She began her early training with Celestine Fitzgerald at the Barcel Suzuki String Academy in Wisconsin.

Professionally, Fiona has performed with the Wolf Trap Opera in Washington DC, and the award-winning chamber pop band Outcalls, and has performed at chamber music festivals throughout the United States and Europe.
Fiona has maintained a private violin studio since 2005, and is a proud member of the American String Teachers Association.
